Our team consulted with residents and members of the local community before we drew up the planning application for Phase One of the development. Thank you to everyone who came to one of our consultation events or provided feedback on the plans.
We now want to speak to local people again about the outline proposals for the wider scheme, to understand the hopes and expectations of nearby residents and the wider MK community.
We have listened to the feedback that people gave us at that public consultation, and have made some important changes to the proposals:
Reducing building heights at sensitive areas closer to existing neighbourhoods north of the site
Including space in the local centre that can be used for social infrastructure such as a health centre, a nursery, and community leisure space – alongside the shops and cafes
Creating an improved Redway route experience, with separation between cyclists and pedestrians
Making clearer connections between the development and the park, with wayfinding to help park users access the facilities in the local centre
Ensuring that the design codes and building materials will create a beautiful development in keeping with the local setting
